2.1 Data you provide when creating an invite

When you create an invite, you may enter:

• Event details (title, date, location, description)
• Guest names or email addresses (optional)
• Your own name or email address (optional)

This information is processed only in memory to generate your invite. We do not store this data after the invite is generated.

2.2 Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider. Stripe may collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Billing information
• Payment method details

We do not receive or store your card number or bank details.

2.3 Technical data

To keep the service secure and functioning, we may collect:

• IP address
• Browser type
• Device information
• Basic usage logs (e.g., error logs)

This data is used for security, fraud prevention, and service reliability.

2.4 Analytics

We use privacy‑focused, cookie‑less analytics to understand how InviteJoy is used and to improve the service.

These analytics tools do not use cookies and do not track or store personal data. They collect only non‑personal, aggregated information such as:

• Page views
• Device type (e.g., mobile or desktop)
• Browser type
• Referring website
• Approximate region (not precise location)

No personal identifiers (such as IP addresses, user IDs, or cookies) are stored or used to track individual users. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioural profiling tools.

• To generate your invite
• To process your payment
• To provide customer support
• To maintain security and prevent abuse

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

• Invite content: Not stored. Deleted immediately after generation.
• Payment records: Kept for as long as required by UK tax law (typically 6 years).
• Technical logs: Kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

5. Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we rely on:

• Contract – to provide the service you request
• Legitimate interests – to maintain security and prevent fraud
• Legal obligation – to keep financial records

6. Sharing your data

We only share data with:

• Stripe, for payment processing
• Service providers that help us host and operate InviteJoy (e.g., hosting, error logging)

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third-party marketers.

All third-party providers are expected to be GDPR-compliant.

Because we do not store invite content, we cannot retrieve or delete it after generation.
